Some telescopes are made solely for astronomy. Others just for
daytime terrestrial pursuits. The Skyview 80 pulls double duty,
excelling at both. Out of the box, this classic refractor is
optimized for terrestrial viewing, sporting a correct-image
porro prism that yields the same image orientation in the eyepiece
that you see with the naked eye. Then there's the mount—a
solid, all-aluminum altazimuth head that offers simple horizontal
and vertical operation.
They're great for centering subjects in the field of view, smoothly
following their movements, or leisurely panning across a landscape.

If you also want a view of the stars, Moon, and planets, you're
in luck there, too. The Skyview 80’s 80mm (3.25")
multi-coated achromatic objective lens (900mm focal length,
f/10.8) has excellent light grasp for night-sky performance
(78% more than 60mm refractors!). With no secondary mirror obstructing
the light path (as on Reflector telescopes), there's no compromise
in light transmission or contrast. You get outstanding resolution
of planetary and lunar features—at 36x to 180x with supplied
25mm and 10mm multicoated eyepieces (1.25") and 2x Barlow
lens. The scope also takes care of your extensive astronomical
viewing with an 90° star diagonal. The altazimuth mount
provides a no-fuss alternative to an equatorial. To top it all,
there is 7x25 achromatic finder scope to help you locate your
targets.
Good for Range up to 10 to 15 kms Terrestrial viewing from 25
Feet onwards. Comes with A sturdy mount with heavy duty metal
stand gives steady images without any vibrations. The body is
Light weight, made from molded plastic and is Weather resists.
